It told me the same thing. Full Time students are granted the entire amount of $5,650 or whateve amount the letter states. Its based on the hrs, you sign up for. Im half/part time taking 6 hrs. so I was awarded $2,825. ( 1/2 of that). If you take 5 hrs. or less, its $1,412.50 you'll receive and the remaining balance will be mailed to you by form of check after the 4th week of school.Check with your FA office at school and tell them what you are able or willing to take and ask them your questions. Have pen & paper handy. This is free government money and you dont want to mess things up with you and the governement because of lack of info or ignorance to the FAFSA guidelines.
